1 week from now, we'll be in Tokyo.

to say i'm beyond excited is an understatement.
to say i'm freaking the eff out is also an understatement.

honestly, though, i don't know what to anticipate, and that might be the hardest thing. for one, japan is sure to be different than anywhere i've ever been. and honestly, i don't know a whole lot about japanese culture, specifically their modern culture. and i've heard that japanese food is AMAZING, but i'd be lying if i said i'm not even a little picky about new things. and then there's that whole "meet the parents in a foreign language" thing that is seriously just terrifying. sure, i've been working on my japanese. and sure, i have yasu who is 100% on my team and will hopefully translate as much as possible so that we can all communicate, but holy crap it's scary. it'll be a test, for certain.

on the excited side of things, we have a few really fun things planned, including a special sneaky photoshoot, a sake tasting, and we're going to be traveling to 3 different cities! excitement truly is high, and it's also fun knowing that this is just the first of many trips we'll be making to japan together!

and now........it's time to start packing. yikes!
